What is Collateral Protection Insurance?
Collateral Protection Insurance is a type of insurance designed to protect your vehicle and your creditor against physical damage or loss on it.
How can I obtain CPI on my vehicle?
You can purchase CPI at the point of sale or later on if you don’t have proof of another existing Full Coverage Policy on your vehicle. The premium is to be paid with your regular car payment.

Is CPI the same as Full Coverage?
No. CPI only provides coverage for any damages to your vehicle in case of an accident. It will not cover damages to third parties and doesn’t meet your state’s financial responsibility requirements. You must obtain Liability Insurance on your own as required by Law.

CPI is not full coverage, which means that if an accident resulting in damage or injury to a third party happens, you could still be personally accountable for paying the cost of the damages to others associated with the accident. CPI will only cover the damages that occurred to your vehicle.

Do I have to purchase CPI with Zeus?
No. However, you are obligated to provide the Declaration Page of a Full Coverage Policy that meets the Company’s requirements for us to remove the CPI on your account. If a Full Coverage policy that meets the requirements of the company is not provided, CPI will remain enforced into your account.
